artic 595
I'm after a new hunting knife, mainly for skinning. I have been using a Lambs Foot knife which i brought off the CMW and it has lasted 9 years. What would you recommend? What do you use?

mexlad 189
i think your not allowed a fixed blade longer than 3" long but youve got to prove that you need to be carrying one for a job like deer stalker etc.
will.f11 24
I use a No. 7 opinel. Does the job but I would recommend the No. 12 as the smaller ones just close on my hand when im gutting etc.

pointer28 1
Will, There should be a revolving collar on the Opinel to stop it shutting on your fingers. Opinels are superb little knives, cheap as chips and razor sharp, and it's not the end of the world if you lose or break it. I'd be afraid to take a couple of hundred pound knife into the field to be honest, it would only end up as an ornament on the mantelpiece.
